Mervyn Johnston Saxophone and Music Lessons

I have over 20 years of teaching experience and currently teach saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, and music theory in South Florida. I’ve been an artist in residence at Boynton Beach High School and taught at Rolling Green Elementary and West Palm Beach Junior Academy. My jazz quartet, “Time Out,” performs around Palm Beach, and I play various gigs in the area. I am available for private or group lessons and performances, from solo to large ensembles. I moved from London to NYC in 1993 to study with alto saxophonist Dave Glasser. After four years, I pursued a degree in saxophone performance, studying jazz at San Francisco State University and Duquesne University, earning a Bachelor of Music.
