Ira L. Lazar, MD, FACP - Florida Kidney Physicians

Ira L. Lazar is a clinical nephrologist and an Affiliated Clinical Professor of Medicine, at the Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Lazar has been a faculty member at the college since it’s inception. Before becoming a standalone medical school, he was a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University and the course coordinator for the M2 Nephrology course. As a member of University faculty, he authored the problem-based learning sessions and lectured on acid-base, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, bone and mineral metabolism and nephrolithiasis.
