I find an object that exhibits a distinctive characteristic & I capture some component that might not be apparent if one doesn't separate the detail from the larger structure. I find an object that I can preserve in an image that may not be appreciated or survive in its current surroundings. When I see the common, I look for a distinctive view. I convey the ineffable, transitory nature of beauty by capturing a fleeting mental view & converting it into a lasting image that incorporates the beauty I experience.
